Domain age checker
Find out how old a domain is: the date it was first registered (in its current registration) and when it expires.
When domain age matters
- Buying a used domain: an older name may come with existing links and traffic, or with a spam history. Check it on the Wayback Machine.
- Spotting scams: a shop or bank website registered a few days ago is a red flag.
- Valuing a domain: age is one of many signals buyers look at.
Questions people ask
Does domain age help SEO?
Not directly. Google has said domain age itself isn't a ranking factor. Older domains often rank well because they've built up content and links over time.
Why does the age reset after a domain expires?
If a domain expires and is deleted, the next registration starts a new record, so the registration date is the newer date.
